About this Product
InterviewLens is an advanced, full-stack capstone project that turns a recorded technical interview into structured meeting notes, a confidence score, skill coverage analysis, and a hiring-manager feedback report — entirely offline using open-source models only. No paid APIs, no Docker, no data leaves your machine.
With this project, you'll build an application that can:
- Transcribe a recorded interview automatically using faster-whisper with speaker diarization via SpeechBrain
- Identify interviewer and candidate speakers using a role heuristic — skipping the LLM when the margin is clear
- Analyse the transcript in chunks with Ollama qwen3:4b — extracting key questions, skill evidence, and grounded quotes
- Score candidate confidence (0–100) using a transparent weighted formula — answer quality, delivery, and assertiveness
- Generate a hiring-manager feedback report with strengths, improvements, and skill ratings
- Improve with every approved review — reference answers, hotwords, and a Ridge calibration model
Building this project gives you hands-on experience in:
- Speech-to-text and diarization — faster-whisper, ECAPA embeddings, and Ward clustering
- LLM integration — chunked map-reduce analysis, JSON schema output, and quote grounding
- RAG and embeddings — ChromaDB skill evidence retrieval and reference re-grading
- Background job architecture — DB-polled worker, child process per job, and crash recovery
It uses Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, SQLite, ChromaDB, faster-whisper, SpeechBrain, Ollama, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS — no Docker required.
