About this Product
Build a Governed Fleet Route Data Platform with Python and DuckDB is a data engineering product that builds the complete batch data platform behind a regional carrier's daily fleet operations — ingesting four synthetic CSV feeds, validating them against TOML data contracts, modelling them with SQL in embedded DuckDB, and publishing four daily KPI marts through a 15-task Python DAG with retries, backfill, resume, governance, and observability built in. No Docker, no cloud, no admin rights required.
With this product, you'll build a platform that can:
- Ingest four daily CSV feeds — into raw Parquet with dt= partitions and lineage columns
- Validate every row against TOML data contracts — routing rejects with typed reason codes to quarantine instead of blocking the run
- Build four daily KPI marts — fleet utilization, route capacity, ETA accuracy, and zone congestion — using SQL in embedded DuckDB
- Run Python DAG with retries, failure propagation, backfill, and resume
- Enforce a quality gate that blocks publishing when reject rates or reconciliation checks fail
- Govern the platform
