About this Product
A media group's catalog data lives in spreadsheets and emails, so titles reach the website, app and partner feeds late and inconsistent.
What you build
- Catalog service: title CRUD with immutable revisions, optimistic concurrency and slug rules.
- Editorial service: review tasks, four eyes approval, publish now and embargo scheduling, unpublish and a reconciler.
- Syndication worker: delivers to web, mobile and partner channels with a retry ladder and dead letter queue, plus DLQ replay.
- Discovery service: public list, detail and search APIs on a read model with a Redis read through cache and per key rate limits.
Skills you practise
- FastAPI services: typed endpoints, dependency injection for JWT auth and database sessions, and a consistent error contract.
- Messaging: RabbitMQ topic events, publisher confirms, idempotent consumers and retry queues.
- PostgreSQL design: a schema per service, JSONB revisions, SKIP LOCKED scheduling and Alembic migrations.
- Observability: Prometheus metrics, JSON logs, correlation IDs across HTTP and AMQP, health endpoints and a runbook.
